Specifically the control agent is not metallic and contains no heavy metals. The control agent is non-hazardous to humans and does not involve release of any agent into the water, but relies on a repellent effect. The agent will not effect plant or aquatic life (not phyto-toxic) is persistent for long time mussel control when applied in the prescribed method.
